This song means a lot despite being one of the shorter tracks. Beginning where things could end. I have struggled with suicidal tendencies for most of my life. I used to use knives to cut myself in times of distress and in 2018 I attempted suicide by standing in the street at night. The driver swerved out of the way just in time as I turned around, a deer in his headlights. I'm still haunted by this image of those blinding lights and how in that moment I thought it was the end. Life is short and can end in a flash and so this song represents this. I felt like survival was a new beginning and so it is the beginning of this album.
